Well I couldn't pass this one up even if I didn't have time! What a great shot, and a totally different way of looking at the animal than I'm used to.

Pros:

This shot has a lot going for it. The first thing that grabs me is the balances between the two players; the huge horse, the delicate hand; the black hair and white dress; the delicate touch of the hand and the delicate tongue. The motion blur on the hand is the clincher, softening and adding vitality to the image.

Cons:

I'm frankly at a loss to list any. I think it's just a tremendous shot. There is a small spot of blurred hair under the horses chin that keeps grabbing my eye - perhaps it's also motion blurred? Mildly distracting, but not much.

Congrats on a truly wonderful picture.

Delicious composition. Velvety darkness of horse's nose, the little slightly moving hand in it's white sleeve, and that tongue possibly indicating the horse's pleasure....

heh you know fromt he thumbnail i thought the horse was smoking a cigarette. love it - who would expect such a light tongue to come from a dark horse? (i know very little about horses btw lol)

Ok, sounds goofy......but, I really like the clarity of the hair on the horse's chin! *grin* You captured a "tender moment". Love it.

Wonderful composition! The hand motion and the tongue make it an ace. I don't feel it needs more contrast, since details are defined very well already. I love the fuzz on the chin.

I think I agree with waz, perhaps a little slide of the midtones but a cool and unique "slice" here.

Very Sweet! I love the little hand and tongue. Maybe a touch more contrast but that's just me I like lots of contrast. :-P
