As an Australian, this photo has a deep impact on me (although the typo in the title is annoying!). I've walked around Sydney many times and this sight is very familiar. The black and white captures the grittiness of this scene beautifully. Well done. (lisae)

Kinda dark, don't you think? If it weren't for the light coloroed breakwater, I would have missed the sleeper (less than distinct in this photo). 7 Swash

Interesting, but the subject is too small a part of this image. 4 sjgleah

wow, beautiful. this is a very thought provoking and interesting picture. i would like it even better if it were zoomed in just a *tad* closer to give the guy a little more of the spotlight, but otherwise i really like the framing and composition---and i am a sucker for black and white photos like this! 9--amitchell

I like the "empty" feeling of this pic. The bw and stark contrast really set a mood, and the subject is so small in the frame, that it seems to make a comment about his significance. Does that make sense? I like it. karmat

good choice of angles and rules of thirds another one of the few B&W that are ok as B&W because of the large contrastings colors.

I would like a little more of the main subject.

The man is almost lost..great picture but to much of the background is in..try cutting out the left area and zooming in just a touch....

It took me some time to discover the figure at the bottom. My suggestion is to get closer to the subject, if he was sleeping he won't bite. Try to avoid cluttered background that takes the attention from the subject.

that is one small man, or one tall curb?!
mood captured - the priorities of sleep
sincerity of expressions - can't make out his face or posture very well, sorry

nice B&W..great composition..like the fence cutting through
09/02/2002 12:06:00 PM
I can't see anyone sleeping? ..sorry. The tones are too extreme here to see any detail.
