slightly dull [subject wise]

It's one of those thingys that plants can climb onto.. the outer shell of the metal pole is made out of some fiber-ous coarse material to help the plants hang on..

I agree with Art here, The whole post in the shot would have made it much more dynamic. It's not uninteresting at all really, as far as content, just need to play around with your angles, perspectives, and compositions a little.

i think this looks pretty interesting to me. i like the dof a lot. the texture on the pole(?) looks great, nice sharpness on it.

Dull as in uninteresting? or do you mean tones? I think it's an interesting enough image with a nice perspective. Would be nicer to not have cropped off or framed out part of the top of that thing, but acool photo to look at anyway.
