Abandoned nuclear facility. Not too tickled with my processing on this one but I had to submit something.

The sky ROCKS!! The actual...well whatever it is, is a bit harsh for me but as you said you weren't happy with it either so...yeah I understand the "I had to submit something" feeling...I get obsessed with keeping up as well. Other than the slight halo on the facility great shot!!

I very much like the sky in this...its very ominous. And I would love to see that...thing...up close. It looks very interesting.

what amazing grain and color on this image - so foreboding and dark - love it (and I read your comment that you didn't like the processing!)

Hmmm - knowing what it is, I think the processing is rather fitting. ;~D

I like it. It has a moody foreboding quality, which fits well knowing its a nuclear facility. There's such a good range of lights and darks, and the contrast is very good!

beautiful composition. i love the way the clouds look, give such a dramatic, emotive feel to this picture. and the tones are awesome again.

I love the sky tones. That is what I migrate to first. I think the dark area begind the facility takes away from the facility. I like the details in the facility and the grass leading up to it. You would get a totally different feel if the dark area wasn't there. I also think the grainy feel works with this shot. Think it would be neat if it didn't have grain. This is a shot that can go either way.

Hats off for getting something in. I think its good that you are testing yourself like this - I'm in exactly the same boat.

If I am being completely honest this image doesnt really work for me, but that is probably just down to my own particular tastes. For me grain can be great on occasion (for example your first picture in the B&W challenge of the two hands) and at other times it (for me) detracts from the overall effect

Hope you are OK with this comment, not trying to be negative, but its just my thoughts on this particular shot

you didn't have to submit anything :-)
you are just putting too much pressure on yourself.

anyway, i like the processing in the sky.
the structure at the bottom is a little hard to make out what it is, so it kind of annoys me!!!!
sorry.
but i had to make a comment :-)
