 Day 2: Just a reservoir near my house where the birds hang around this lighthouse thing in the middle of the lake. I like the clouds too. Not sure about the editing.

Wicked looking tower, looks like something out of a fairy tale, and not a happy-ending one, either. The graininess of the image gives it a nice edge, and the circling birds are a good addition, too.

I would move the lighthouse to the right just a bit more. I enjoy the lighthouse itself, however, the background is what really leaves me flat for this image. For me, it just doesn't seem to hold it together as well as it might... I am wondering, what if hillside was lighter I think that would bring out the lighthouse quite a bit more.

Great shot, the birds really do work here and the general feel of the shot is good. I think perhaps a slightly different crop could add a little extra but thats a minor point.

Odd, but to my eye the first thing I saw was the circling birds. They're the smallest things in the shot and they got my first glance. That must mean that the shot works very well. Pretty place.

Awesome looking tower with the bird flying around. I would agree that bring out the dark areas would enhance this, but I still like it.

I agree with Nick... and interesting variation may be to layer over an "infra red" version wiht the blues much darker, the greens lighter, and then lower opacity to get the separation you want of the tower. Just a thought, very nice picture ... I really like the lighting here.

Wow - for some reason it reminds me of the Wizard of Oz - the tower where the flying monkeys were or something??? It's VERY OLD Hollywood in the post processing - nice one!

That's a really cool pic! The lighthouse seems out of place with all the trees which gives it a more powerful presence.

i kinda like the editing, the sky is damn cool.
i like "the lighthouse thing in the middle of the lake" would maybe pop out some more by making the tree's darker?
i wonder if i will suggest to anyone to make their image lighter during this month?
