Wow, you captured the texture very well. I'd prefer to see a bit more focus extend further down in the image, to keep that second link from being too much of a distraction, although I don't know, that might end up ruining your nice bokeh. Well, it's a thought. :)

I like this one esp. with the vignetting and textures and background and framing and....

This I like, you have really good dof, and great contrasts to show off the textures, the seperation is wonderful, you did a really great job here.

wow love the detail. too bad the one link is not in focus. a great macro!

All I can do here is echo a few of the comments here that this would be much better with the whole chain in focus.

When you photograph something straight on, it can be very disorienting for part of it to be OOF, especially when you don't have any kind of "3D" or perspective to give the viewer a reason *why* it's OOF.

Beatiful BW tones on the chain. I really wish all of the chain were in focus, not just the top part.

Very nice, love the lighting.

detail and texture is awsome

Love the texture of the subject, DOF works for me as it is, although a little more focus for the lower link would perhaps give more impact.

Good detail, it might need a bit more DOF to have all the links in focus.

What a great idea! I love this photo - great macro with a lot of interesting grit. Well done!

This is great, wonderful tonal range and texture. Non-standard composition works well. I wish the whole chain were in focus; that's my only complaint.

I just adore rusty things (to the great dismay of my husband). He doesn't appreciate them being dragged home and displayed. Very nice.

There's just something about the capture of textured old rusty things that make such great photos. This is a very good choice for a black and white photo. I do like the centered composition too and the vignetting on the corners.

Well done.

The texture of th old rust makes this a perfect candidate for black and white. I wish the DOF was a little broader, but the might have hurt the background.
