Greetings from the critique club!

Hi Melissa,

I'm very glad you like this image and sometimes that's all that matters. Please keep in mind that challenges and what you love can be two completely different things and they shouldn't be mixed. This, while a nice image just didn't speak to the challenge, and scored rather low because of that. The same image in a sunset challenge may have scored better.

For the shot itself, try adding a bit of contrast to get the darks a little darker and I think you'll find a very pleasing image.

Hope that helps.

Cindi

I am afraid I am not seeing symmetry in this photo. The colors are a bit washed out too. I'll bet it looked fantastic in person, it just did not capture well on the camera. Good try - keep trying

There is nothing very symmetrical about the ocean.

I suppose you were aiming for symmetry in the time domain, not the space domain? -4-
