Overdone on HDR - the halo around the palmtree looks awful.

Sorry but the strong halo around the tree just isnĀ“t to my taste, also image seems a bit too flat for my taste.

These halos around the tree look somewhat strange too me. USM overdone?

I see the photo has been validated, but there is a huge light halo around the tree. Not sure how it got there but it gives a really strange, and not particularly appealing effect

The halo around the tree and horizon is a significant issue with this photo - and the swirls on the image really distract. I like the theme and the title a lot - wish the image was a little clearer and had less technical issues.

I don't care for the halo around the tree and I don't know how it got there in basic editing. The overall shot needs to be more in focus. Better luck next time.

The halo from over sharpening is distracting. Also, it is overall, a little dark.

The processing is not going to help this at all. Looks to be more of a snap shot than a thought out photograph.

Looks like some aggressive tone mapping or USM. ;(

the glow around the tree is strange, and there are "ghosts" of the restraining cables, coming from the tree along the horizon on left, and going up from the tree branch on the right maybe just on my monitor...PP snafu?

Person opinion - highlighting around tree is overdone, and detracts.

Nice try, but here's my critiques. The two things that really bother me are the glow around the tree and the strange lines going through the sky... but I don't know, maybe they're weird clouds or something... I guess the whole image looks over-edited perhaps. Okay that being said... I do like the composition, and the colors are nice.

Not digg'n the photomatix or shadow/highlight affect here.

All kinds of weirdness in this... Halo 'round the tree? Odd stripe in the sky?

The whole left over glow from the editing around the top half of the tree kind of just stands out. Unfortunatly with it being basic their wasnt much you could do about it.

the tie down lines a a shot killer for me. As is the halo around the tree.
