I know the kite is a little high -- a little above the upper right power point. The DNMC police will probably dock me for that. Oh well, c'est la vie. The wind just didn't cooperate.

RAW conversion: white balance, exposure, sharpening
PP: cropped and straightened slightly, shadows/highlights, exposure, neat image, hue/saturation, added border, resized, smart sharpened, saved for web.

Cool play of tones in all the blues and greens here.

Zero comments, that's a shame.

Voters are fickle... sometimes they like negative space sometimes they don't. Tough scene to capture since the action is so small, however I like the intent... stark red against the blue sky.

One mantra my professor always stated, "Fill the Frame". I think if you would have cut this into a portrait orientation you would have had a much stronger photo. Though, take my ramblings lightly, my average is lower than yours. :)

As far as pure technicals, the image is nearly perfect.

All the blues and greens of sky and water, and the horizontalish bandings in the water make this a pleasure to view. Just a bit hard to make out the figure holding the kite-string.

Nicely done Julianne. Even the birds meet the rule of thirds.

Wow - congrats on earning the No Comment ribbon! (Feel free to steal the image number from the one on my profile page.) Definitely meets the challenge (regardless of the kite being a "little high" - I'm pretty non-picky on rule of thirds intersections) and I like the detail and color of the water.
