I agree straightening the steps would help with the focus you might experiment with cropping out the person on the far left. I would experiment with brightness and contrast or make the balcks a bit blacker. Good composition ...

This is a really neat candid shot. I love how there is someone looking in just about every direction. The left hand corner is a bit blown and you could fix that maybe by going in with a gray airbrush. Also fixing the slant in the steps would help the picture focus more on the subjects of the photo.
