this makes you want to walk and stand there and see the light.

Basking - that 's the word I think of when looking at this - just "basking". [hint: that's a compliment] :)

Nice angle and I love the shadows, very cool light effect as well!

Now this is something I like - I'd shoot something like this, too. The light is quite intriguing and I like the geometry of the lines, both the railing and the shadow.

There is something about this shot that I like, this probably won´t score well but I bet this would do well with the art crowd. I gave it a 7.

Pretty light. I wish there was someone standing there. The photo seems kind of empty.

too washed out with sun and marginal thirds

I had to come back to this photo, not sure why.

Perhaps it was my lack of understanding of it. I still don't feel that I will raise my vote much higher, but it does draw me back for consideration. I suppose that on its own makes this photo worthy of a higher vote than my initial "2"

I'm still struggling with the lighting. I'm turned off by the blown out railing on the right side, and I am not a fan of the sunlight in the upper right corner. I do appreciate the simplicity of the whole thing, and the vertical lines of the fencing and the diagonals of the shadows and how they relate to one another. I get no message from the piece, but it is good in and of itself, but not grand.

I'll raise my vote to a 5.

Nice attempt but it just isn't ROT and the corner is blown out too much. I can see what you were tying to capture but it doesn't work as a subject at this distance.

This can not be dusk the shadows are very short for dusk. I say 3:47 in the afternoon.
Check the time on the camera file and tell me.
