I think you've got the right curves here to suggest music while complementing the physical curves of the violin itself. There is after all something more to a violin than itself. There is the music that can potentially come out of it, a music that is never more perfect than when it is not being played.
You might consider a different angle on the violin. I imagine a foreshortened more leaning violin, as though being played by a ghost. |

This is a very nice effect. The white light design against the black background adds a lot to the image. I've never tried light painting, and don't even know how it's done. |

The sweeping curves of light, the tighter circles of the violin, and the diagonal of the, um, violin-string-player-thing all fit well together in this shot. The ghost light is a little strong, but it does give the picture a high contrast-y feel. |
