Thought of this on the last minute. Apples are round so I placed them in a circle to emphasize their shape.
Went to the store just beofre midnight, Icelandic time, and bought eight apples. Took the picture in my kitchen and used an A2 size paper as background. Used a single light source for lighting.
Hope you enjoy. I think this will be the first picture in a series of fruit pictures :)

the only problem with your comment was that i see cloned apples :) how many original apples were there? nice shot otherwise, but i could easily tell they were cloned :) (left one with the bottom right one, and top left one with the right one, didn't really have the time to look closer than that :P )
Nice photo. Only distraction is the shadow on each apple - would centering the light have changed that? What a great "clock" photo this would also make...maybe with a fork & knife/spoon as the hands =)
Nice capture of the shapes of the apples. As a photograph, I think it would be more attractive if the apples were on a cloth with a distinct texture; this is too plain to contrast with the smooth texture of the apples.
