Just happened to be at the San Diego Zoo and stopped by to see the elephants. Between two screaming kids I happened to get off a few shots of these guys. I can't wait to get back out there to try again.

-layer mask on red channel layer
-Apply image to layer mask
-Red Channel layer blending mode changed to Soft Light
-New Layer fill with Black
-Elliptical Marquee, then applied as a layer mask then inverted
-Gaussian blur at 250 pixels on layer mask
-Auto levels applied to layer mask
-Black fill layer opacity changed to 50% to create a vignette
-Save for Web

I want to be drawn to the eye, but it's placed uncomfortably in this composition and is too distant. Some minor cropping, sharpening, and a little more contrast would do wonders for this photo. JMO of course. :D
