I stunned this mosquito when he flew in my face tonight. He happen to fall on a newly acquired mirror I had laying on the bed of our guest bedroom that some delivery guys just put in our house for our new house in Missouri (we move there at the end of May... yeah!!!). Since he wasn't squashed (yet), I remembered the insect challenge (although it's minimal editing - yuk), and snapped away. Yes, this community has turned me into a "ooh, this would make an interesting picture" kind of guy. This was the best one, with just sharpening. Nasty, huh? It made my skin crawl, so I figured it was a good shot. I should have framed him a little better in the view finder, but oh well. Close enough for the magic ratio.

It looks like you caught the little sucker on a mirror that was also reflecting something pure white. Very creative! Only the bug is slightly fuzzy (not the reflection) but pretty darn good for minimal editing.
No offense but I just want to swat at it, smash it, til it is a little ball of insect paste rolled upon my fair arm. Oh my ... back to reality, interesting image, the composition and reflection are so awesome although overall a bit pale. 6
