I have never seen one, but this looks like a contemplative way of mini gardening. |

Great idea: fits the topic very well and is also well executed. Could be a little brighter in my opinion and also rotated a bit to the left. Otherwise just great. Good luck. |

Ah, Grasshopper, always seek peace and tranquility but don't forget to honor your father. |

Great job. I love this shot. Really, fantastic composition and interesting idea of simplicity. 8 |

This shot is very dull. It needs a boost of color either in lighting, or in post editing. Very nice composition though!

Great simple image with very special elements. Light is a but dull, lacks warmth in my opinion, and the reflective strip at the top should have been cropped out. |

I love this. I too was going to do a shot with my own zen garden since zen is all about simplicity. I'm glad I didnt & that you did. The cropping of the shot makes it off centre a bit making it a little distracting. The glare off the rocks as well. Maybe if the rake was somewhere to the side too. Overall, nice & creative. |

Technical: Most all images submitted fit the challenge. This is right on the money. Exposure and focus good. Composition feels quite weak. I feel the lighting should be more diffused to avoid the brights on the rocks.
Personal: This has tons of potential. In my mind more time spent and different compositions could have yielded a better photograph.
My vote: 5

It seems to be a great pic. The composition is little sofisticated but I like it. The fork is an disposable element. I bit undexposed too. |

Overall interest : 2/3 good concept
Technical : 2/3 (I like the simple effective setup, the light reflections are annoying)
Challenge fit : 2/2
Wow factor :1/2 (Zen concept)

Like how the wood creates a border! Nice touch. It's a little underexposed though. |

there's something really funny about three stones in the sand... I dunno, maybe because the rakemarks are so perfect. Anyhow, well done. A little less glare on the stones and frame would be an improvement |

One of the best examples I have seen. I think your lighting could of been a bit more muted, but this is very nice. |
