This is my 1st entry for a Challenge and insects are hard to come by @ this time of yr..The isolated black fly is soon to parish..

In the spring we brought him out on the deck and it took several times doing this before he moved forward and flew off. The feeling I got seeing him fly was well worth that long winter.

Wish you used the rule of thirds and did´t placed the fly dead center

Some might say this is just a too-centered image of a fly, but for me the whole composition projects a physical depth and a moodiness that I find very attractive. Even if this was just a spur of the moment "snapshot" for you and the composition is accidental, kudos for your "happy accident". It scores tops from me, but I suspect it won't score well with DPC voters overall - hopefully I will be wrong. Anyway, I like it very much. :)
