Me...yes me, again. This might as well be a self-portrait challenge! Oh well.

The concept is creativity...The only way creativity works is if you have a ton of ideas. You brainstorm the ideas (the ones in my hand) but most of the ideas are crap, and every once in a while one is really good (the one above my head).

This was done by hanging a light bulb from my ceiling...I should by fishing line, because I had to clone out the hemp string I used.

I have a boom light above and behind the light and shining forward (so it also acted as a hair light). I then had a silver reflector to the left and a mirror on my lap. If you get close enough you can actually see the light behind me reflected in my eye from the mirror.

This was fun to try to work out! I know I could have just taken a shot of a light bulb and Photoshoped it in, but part of the fun was the problem solving!

Dang! I am behind on comments! Sorry this is late ;)

You are so darn creative in everything you do... this is no exception. I would NEVER have thought of something so... simple yet complex. You are doing great things with your photography and I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with next :)

It would have been cool to see the suspended light bulb actually lit up...the idea and photo are great

I admire your creativity and the confidence to try something new. I have not submitted a self portrait yet, so I stand to learn something from yours.
