 There is a rookery in Morro Bay State Park and it's not very big, maybe 4 acres. Right now the egrets, great blue herons, night herons and cormorants are all building their nests there. It's a noisy, dangerous place (wear a hood).

This is amazing! You have an awesome zoom! We have a tree like that at the park I eat lunch at every day and I completely know what you mean. As Melethia so profoundly put it once. . .Beware of getting shat upon :) This photo is great to show the beautiful huge size of those birds. I think they may be my favorite birds because of their photogenic qualities!
