we had to light candles all over the place. this probably won\'t do well, but i still entered, and this challenge gave me all sorts of learning oportunities. :)

haha, no, i actually think it's a goose, or a swan, but it's just a decoration in our bathroom :)

I like the warm tones caused by the candle. What is the duck? I mean, it's a duck (or at least a likeness of a duck) but does it have another purpose, like a door stop or something? (I like shots that make me wonder.)

in case if i wasn't very clear in my origional comment, which i don't think i was, we actually had a power outage that night. i was so happy it came along :)

The candle is a bit too harsh on the left side. Maybe a little bit of fill light on the rest of the scene could have balanced it out.

The glow from a candle can make a great light source, but you have to be REALLY careful not to include the candle or you get blown-out highlights (like you have here). Also, I find that it helps to reduce the color temperature closer to a Tungsten white balance to cool down the warm tones slightly.
