My brown ribbon contender. I think the shapes of sunlight and shadow are very pretty. I used hue/sat to emphasize the blue of the road and get rid of the ugly greens and reds of the underbrush, but all the while keeping true to the original photograph. Levels to bring out the darkness.

I feel like I'm looking through dirty eyeglasses when I look at this shot. Even though I like the patterns on the snow, I can't get beyond the ill effect of the lens flare.

I actually like the texture of the surface. If you would have cropped out the brush but left the concrete edge, this would have been really cool.

im not quite sure what youre trying to focus on, the road or the curb? and it seems as if you have some sort of obstruction in the way of the shot.

Not very clear, is it steam rising or out of focus.

I like very much the lower part of the picture as an abstract, but I'm not sure of the whole composition...

Is Whiterook back?

Anyway, you have lots of bold lines in this pic and what looks like motion panning. Maybe you held the camera out of the window of a moving car.
