Challenge: Contre-jour (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-5D
Lens: Olympus 18mm f/3.5 MF Wide Ange Zuiko
Location: Reykjavik, Iceland
Date: Apr 3, 2007
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 100
Shutter: 8 sec
Galleries: Cityscape
Date Uploaded: Apr 3, 2007

A last minute effort like too many times lately. Shot just before midnight in a thick myst. I used a tripod for the shot and my 18mm lens and finally the heavy vignetting was a blessing :). Most of the processing was done in Rawshooter and only finetuning in Photoshop.

The light is coming from the front for me. This is still good though. So 6 not for following the concept but for the great capture.

Love the lighting. What is that shining thing on the left. The light source? Just a slight distraction. The shining cross at the very top is interesting!

Looks like this photo was a very difficult exposure to handle with most of the lighting at the bottom. You did a wonderful job of it and created a dramatic and dynamic photo.

Very nice subject and composition but even though there is some light coming from behind the tower, my eyes see that main source of light is in the front.

Very good! Don't know if it meets the strictest interpretation but I see a camera pointed directly at the light. 8
