I'm pretty sure this is the statue of Willie B, Zoo Atlanta's long time patriarch. Willie B was always a crowd favorite, even the bad days of the zoo when he was housed in a concrete cage and spent his days watching television. Some of the ashes of the silverback are in the statue; the rest were scattered over the West African jungle where he was born.
