Ok, so it's really my husband, but we did good dressing him up. Even my Mom thought it was a guy I found on the street... :-) I wanted to think outside the box - so hopefully this shot isn't too far a stretch of the interpretation on the challenge.

Post Processing: desaturate, adjust levels and slight curves, crop and resize.

Edit: The sign we made is one commonly seen on the streets. We felt it better to depict this ourselves and set up the shot rather than approach a truly homeless person in our warm clothes, running vehicle and expensive camera...

I like the sign but I need to see this guys face- or more of the street. I need some perspective for this portrait.

lack of.... imagination

Is this for real, or posed? Either he's an honest guy, or this is a very un compassionate statement about the down and out.

A clever sign but surely the interest is in the person. Cropping the face out dehumanises this to it just being a sign.

Technical: Fits the challenge. Exposure composition focus lighting all good. I'm assuming the mid-face crop is to protect his identity.

Personal: S'ok. Doesn't make me go "wow".

These poor folks are on every corner here. Many with the same sign. Really. I wouldn't want to trade lives with them. Good idea for the challenge. Good luck.

I am sure I have given this guy a buck...well done, I am sure that you had a reason to crop the face but I would have liked the whole better, I think.

Thankyou for the humor in an otherwise possibly depressing shot. Nice contrast in the B/W conversion.
