 This was the firt thing that came to mind, though I had a couple other backup ideas. I played with a variety of setups but liked this "traditional desktop" scene best, particularly with the b&w treatment.

Great idea that's well executed.
Good choice to have this in B&W, as it emphasizes 50's look
of the typewriter. Lighting by lampshade also a good choice.

This one of the best of photo in this challenge. I love the smooth transition from one technology to the next, and the emphasis on their task. Good lighting. The piece of paper or notepad on the left hand side is a little distracting.
