 No desaturation or major editing - I took a greyscale scan of the board, cut out the area around Mayfair, and laid it over the normal board.

Thanks all for your comments during the challenge.
As mentioned in the photographer's comments, there was no desaturation done on this shot - the black and white around the outside of the magnifying glass is actually black and white - or more to the point, a grayscale scan of the monopoly board and the chance cards. See here for one of the setup shots.
In answer to some of the questions/comments posed:
Where is this game from? Monopoly!
Why am I looking through a mag glass? Why not? Just a way of highlighting the Mayfair property.
How did I deal with the color/desaturate etc? See above!
Should not have been validated. Well, it was, so there!
Bit of odd striping behind the glass. Yeah, I noticed that afterwards as well. Not sure what it is, may have been a fingerprint on the magnifying glass. I forgot to try running the shot through NeatImage - when I did, it removed this striping. Ah well.

There were lots of Monopoly pictures in this challenge but I think this is one of the very best.

Nice work, good thinking to have the magnifying glass, pulls the composition together, focuses our attention. How did you deal with the color? Bit of odd striping on the board behind the glass. 8

Technical: Fits the challenge. Exposure composition focus lighting all very well done

Personal: Much more creative presentation than other shots of the same subject in the challenge. Thank you for the effort!
