Taken about an hour after sunrise in the North Yorkshire fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay. The village is inaccessible by car, as most of the 'streets' are very narrow. The village is built on a very steep hill, and so there are many steps; the people who live here are a hardy lot! This is a typical street, with no road, just a pavement. to the left you can see an alley that leads up some steps to another street, and so on.
Processing (Elements 4 and Photomatrix):
- 3 RAW conversions, half a stop apart
- Converted to HDR, and then low level tone-mapping using Photomatrix
- opened in Elements
- cropped slightly to give a 5:7 ratio
- cloned out telegraph wires and photomatrix logo
- evened out sky with contrast/brightness
- USM; resize; save for web.

I love old streets and houses like this. Seems a bit over exposed or washed out though.

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two now and I'm running late, sorry.

What an odd title. 5
