Tony Curtis at Home in Las Vegas - I decided to go with a black and white for some reason? The colour shot is nice too with all the blues but I just feel this makes you focus on him more. I entered a similar one for a challenge that didn't do so well. I think i like this better? Taken on the 12mm (As most of my portraits are!) I got him to wiggle his feet just prior to the shot to get those nice rings in the water - It became a running joke - I thought they matched quite nicely with the cloud formation. The conversion to the DPC has ruined some of the great tones but you get the idea!

I think this is one of my faves from you. The B&W is a fantastic (but not a logical!) choice, one to have guts to do so.
I also like the atmosphere this is giving. It's telling us to live, thrue the clouds, the man, the painting, the ripples in the water, the hat..

A beautiful portrait.

Wonderful. I like the tonality so much. The cowboy hat and him standing in water makes it quirky and VERY interesting. I love your work.

this is a awsome picture, just love how he is standing in the water and his cowboy hat makes him look relaxed, I like the highlighting you did helps make him stand out.

i could imagine that this would look great viewed bigger, i think anything at 12mm needs to be viewed large. I like you your portraits and this is no exception, this wiggle of the toes was a great idea it kind of gives the impression of a tide and adds movement to an otherwise static image, i guess it makes it look less posed. also im a fan of deep blacks so you have got me there.
