The photographer was the only person made nauseous during the shooting for this challenge!

This was a surprize shot. While shooting, I was displeased the light was too bright as it reflected off the snow around the play area; I toyed w/the aperture to try & darken the exposure a bit & was thrilled at this result. Minimal editing: crop, adjust contrast, sharpen, resize.

WHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Post Challenge: The definition of a "whirling dervish" is one who gets lost in the spin and begins to transcend their earthly form...
disappointing that so many people could not see Isabelle's face in the midst of the "SPIN". Monitor problem? Not really looking? Looking without seeing? hmmm...hard to tell. I still think this is a pretty cool shot!
Thanks for the comments....

Fun shot! I love how her face is tucked in there.

I believe it's a tad pompous to presume the attempts of anyone in any challenge,...unless you were there when the photo was taken.

Alternatively, perhaps this is a "language thing" and you meant "no aesthetic effect"?

Bah. The main subject is a child, as is obvious by the face. Very underrated shot in my opinion!

I love the abstract nature of this shot with just about enough detail in there to keep you interested. Lovely colours, hope you do well. I am upping this on second looks

I would have increased my shutter speed a little bit so the viewer has a better idea of what they are looking at.

hmm, The colors are a tad bit distracting.. It makes the movement of the spin seem messy.. imho..

I can't really see anything.

This image is a little too much spinning. I can't really tell what is going on in this shot. Nice try.

if the main subject has motion blur ... I feel that the BG needs to be in sharp focus to make this work ...

Beautiful abstract!!! Amazing how there is still the image of a face present. Lovely colors and contrast as well.

Didn't quite come together for me... the effect seems more "smoke" than "spinning".
