 It took quite a while just to FIND a Merry-Go-Round around here! I guess some idiot must have fallen off and sued someone, and there you have it.

Anyway, I did this intending to make it a self-portrait. I took a couple dozen shots of myself riding on this thing, to the point where I nearly lost my lunch. I took this one shot of my daughter (who had been in charge of spinning me in circles), and I liked it better than my self-portraits.

By the way, it's not particularly easy to set up a tripod on one of these things, either!

I cropped, increased saturation, sharpened, Noise Ninjad, resharpened.

I was just at Brady's Run the other day. I was a little shocked when I saw you lived so close. haha Did you use a sandbag or anything to keep the tripod sturdy?

Wow! What amazing photography! I'm in awe that you got her so sharp and focused with SO MUCH motion going on. What a genius idea for ths challenge. And executed to perfection. Congratulatiosn on front page honors!

I love your image! Such a sweet look on her face and the beautiful green of the background keeps the focus upon her sweet smile, yet you still get the feeling of spinning! Great job. :) 10 from me.

It hurts that so many photos in this challenge use this same idea and technique, but this is my favorite of them. Good clarity on the subject, and the colors work.

The background is excellent. If the girl was not looking at the camera and just enjoyed the ride it would have been brilliant with a real child-like expression of fun. As is, she seems to peaceful against such an exciting background... 6

nice execution..IMO a longer focal length (w/less lense distortion) might have worked better with the circular shapes...(8)
