Simple and serene, I like the almost perfectly matching colors of the blue sky and the calm water. Look up "The rule of thirds". This rule suggests that you place you subject in the frame on the intersection of one each of two vertical and two horizontal imaginary lines drawn through the photo. IMO the picture would benefit from the sailboat being in the upper left a little, leaving some space in front of the boat. Also, check the level of your horizon. This is one of the first criticisms that you'll receive.

I hope that you don't mind, but while I was trying to explain this, the thought occurred to me that I could attempt to show you so I worked on it a little. It would have looked better if I had the original file to work with, but the point was mostly about not centering your subject.

What I did was to crop the photo to level the horizon and moved the saiboat towards the upper left third without cropping too much off the photo. After you learn more about composition, you won't have to crop as much because you'll take care of that befoe you press the shutter button. I also adjusted the levels, contrast and saturation a little.
