Hey Melissa, welcome to DPChallenge. I'm very happy to be the first person to comment on your first photo uploaded to your portfolio. This butterfly was a great find with all the colors and contrast. It appears that you were able to get pretty close to it to capture such detail. The lighting, colors, and exposure are all very good. The only suggestion for improvement that I can see is that the focus is in the same plane as the plant on the right or the bark of the tree instead of the butterfly itself.

You're off to a good start. Keep it up and post some more good shots.
