Haha the way cows look at us when we take pictures of them seems to be similar

I remember this from the free study. It made me sad! The poor cow's face conveys such a depressed emotion. The tag and barbed wire fence enhance that feeling. :( Great picture - love the processing; poor cow lol.

Never sure how people can dole out 1's for a FreeStudy. Well, I think this is a fun image. The color treatment works pretty well. It is one of those photos that grows on you the more you look at it.

I like cow pictures. I like this cow looking at you while you take the picture. I kinda agree a bit with Julianne about the composition - maybe if you'd had a bit more space to the right, and a bit less of the other cow it would balance better. The colors are a bit unnatural, but that works for this shot, I think.

I think the composition hurt the score. The subject is dead center with empty space to the right and a half a cow on the left. And while the cow is standing straight up, the slope of the land makes it look as though the photo needs straightening. I like the textures and the colors in the pasture, even though they look unnaturally orange on my monitor. In spite of all these negative things I said, I like the shot and gave it a 6.

Bob, I was one of your 8's! I can't believe this didn't finish stronger. I find the composition and colors to be very, very strong.

Ha ha ha.... ha ha ha... great subject! Beautiful colors and great focus! So sorry - I might have warned you about the farm animal backlash - especially when you include a heifer heiny! Well anyway, I like it!

Looks like a lot of tone mapping or maybe just lots of sharpening. Interesting effect. Is that a power line at the top? It is a little distracting.

You know, the editing in this makes it something to catch attention, but unfortunately, it's been my experience that a lot of voters in this site just don't like the "edited look" which really doesn't make sense since we all have this really cool editing capabilities. Nicely done in my estimation!

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two three now and I'm running late, sorry.

I'm not a number, I'm a free cow (calf). 6
