 This is my son. Honestly, I don't care how it scores. I really like this. He and I went out to take outdoor portraits, but he was not very cooperative. He was just excited to get out and hike around, so getting him to hold still and look at the camera was very difficult.

And I don't care what anyone says, I am a believer that equipment makes a huge difference. This is the first challenge I will enter with my new 5D and new Canon L-series lenses, and believe me, they are well worth every penny that I spent on them.

this is very good use of the soft focus in portraits. I think that it is probably the best that i have seen to now.Maybe the spot above the eye takes away from the overall picture a bit but the lighting is fine. 10

Good expression, nicely out-of-focus background. I feel the focus point is just a shade off - it needs to be smack on the eyes and it is on the tip of the nose.

beautiful, I think this could maybe use just a tad more contrast but still the depth of field and softness work wonderfully with the expression, i like the natural colors too

could have done with slightly more DOF in my opinion to keep the eyes sharp, otherwise very good
