People won't like the blurry left hand but such is life.

This is my BABY and my little soul mate. Love him to pieces. The fact that I got him to do this without making and Calvin and Hobbs kind of face is a miracle.

This is my first super processed pic for this site. I tried to follow a tutorial by xianart and so i did some radial gradient thing - I think? And then I screwed up the left hand color so I dodged that some. I think this is where the red left hand appeared (and some on the cheeks too).

Crop
Curves
Channel Mixer
Sharpen
Healing Tool - he had this thing on the wrist that stuck out into the pic. I hope that is legal to use healing tool?

Radial Gradient of some kind (in all honesty I do not know the correct terminology for getting the background darker.)
And then I used some kind of mask to get the face lighter. I was playing and not paying attention.
So the hand turned out too red and I desaturated some of the red. Then dodged it. Otherwise, the blur was in the original.

Then Neat Image.

I am pleased with it and I hope that the PP experts will see to it to leave corrective comments.

I'm floored at the score. I voted this an 8. The clarity of his eyes, the spot-on focus, and his expression are all wonderful. Yes, if I lean waaaayyyy in, I can see of the artifacts. But I don't vote with my nose 1/2" from the screen. :)

As for those artifacts, try copying the original into a new layer, sharpening that layer, and then creating a layer mask and painting black in the layer mask of the sharpened layer, to remove it and let the original show through. That essentially lets you do spot sharpening that's reversible.

PRECIOUS!!!! Lovely, soft tones which suit the mood and really express this child's features and perhaps, soul. Lovely shot.

Fac and hands seem a little too pink. Otherwise, I think it's excellent.

Great shot. Nothing to improve except his skin tone is a little red, but I'm thinking that was on purpose.

Good luck.

Very cute composition and nice framing, I think a softer light would have worked better.

I'm seeing odd pixels, especially at his eyes, but there seems to be pixelating elsewhere too, such as on his cuff, on his right shoulder (our left), on his right hand, and on his hair. If I move back I don't notice it as much... maybe scaling down a little would fix it? If you getting a lower score than you'd expected, maybe thats why. Nice choice of DOF.

The red tinge to his eyes looks odd.

I love it. I was going to say that his arm is casting a shadow on his left eye but I've studied it longer and I think it adds some depth. Great shot. Adorable child :)

Very sweet. Wish his fingers weren't cut off though.
