I don't care for all the negative space on the sides. I think it would be more effective if cropped to portrait orientation. The subject is excellent in all ways: lighting, focus, color, etc. I like the processing. 8

the background on this one is a bit distractig, and the man looks like he's about to say something. that's usually not the most photogenic moment ;)

This Auld Fella would have been striking against a Darker back ground.
I know its a candid shot, but I think you have done very ewll considering !
