 I took this shot as an excercise in shades of gray in a late afternoon.

Processing of the original color photo:
Cropped.
Applied gradient map, channel mixer, increased brightness and contrast.
Cloned out some obstructions.
Burned some shadows.
Added a thin black border.
Saved for the web.

Nicely done. I am really fond of the busyness of nature and you've captured it well with the long path under the arching trees.
