This definitely benefits from image grain. Why? Because it looks like rain and, well, he's wearing a raincoat. It's as simple as that. In fact, I'd say it's the only thing that's yours about the photo. Otherwise, it's a sculpture someone else made, lit by someone else who figured out how to light it to best advantage, seen from an angle they pretty much knew the sculpture would be seen from. (get the idea that I don't like sculpture photos? that's pretty accurate...) I mean, you made good decisions, like the crop, having the antenna reach into the corner of the photo, but it's the grain that gives this an added dimension. |
