 The title of a 70's ambulance TV show, which is what this looks like to me. Grain is second nature to me. All I had to do was curve up the darks to reveal the people behind the windshield and then curve down the lights to keep the highlights from being overblown, and voila! noise! I also cropped, which helps. I also did shadow/highlight (first step) because I needed more help bringing these fellas to the light.

I saw this during the challenge and thought there was something familiar about it but could not quite put a finger on it. Then the thought that the guy was about to yell at you to get out of the way kind of took over from there. ;o)

I have never seen that show so I can't say if the image fits it. but somehow it feels like a tv show anyway:)
btw, why is the ambulance sign written this way?

This doesn't say anything to me. Don't know why, because I usually find your shots fascinating. I've looked at it for quite a while and still, without your comments above, can't see the point of this.
