 I took so many flower pictures in March and this one never ceased to be my favorite. It is a cluster of some kind of purply pink flowers that I put in a pot out front. I used my super macro setting and had aperture at 2.8.

Got distracted by this while looking for the Dane ;-) SO beautiful; I adore the DOF and of, course, the purple! The closed flower feels like it's reaching out to me in supplication.

Looks like you got seriously hosed on the voting on this gem. I can see that despite the score people are loving this...me included. Very beautiful!

Now explain to me why this is in your cows collection!?! :-)

Uh, yeah, this is a 6+ shot all the way. This was a messed-up scoring challenge from start to finish for some folks. I think you just got unlucky in the distribution of voters annoyed by the April Fool's shenanigans.

Judy~ I also agree with SandyP; I think this shot was underrated. this is (another) Lovely shot! you have a gift of making flowers look more beautiful then they intrinsically are! Strong work!

Ain't nothin' wrong with this at all, Judy. It's wonderfully soft and rich and the colors are breathtaking. Nicely done!

I agree with Sandy, but maybe flowers have had thier day in free study, I know one came in third, with a lot of tone mapping.

I totally protest this lovely photo getting a 5.1 :(

The bokeh is just beautiful! The one flower in focus gives it such a dreamy effect. It's beautiful!

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning.

Dainty floral. Lovely colours. More in focus might have helped. 5
