 This shot is less about the Monument than about the fact it's visible wherever you go. Just behind me is the Einstein statue from day 21. When I turned around to walk back to the car, there was the monument. I'm standing on the corner of Constitution Avenue and 22nd St., so the US Capitol is 22 blocks away in the direction I'm facing.

I thought about using this shot for the minimal editing challenge "Trees," but thought it'd be hit for being too much about things other than trees. Besides, I liked my trees entry.

Not nearly as much editing as earlier shots, but I still played with the sky some. Here's the original:

What a vibrant photo. The cars are so sharp that they seemed to be parked still on the street. It gives the whole photo a really unusual look.

The trees make an excellent frame for this photo. The sky is awe-inspiring, and though the monument is sort of in the background, it really catches the eye.

having the height restriction on buildings there really highlights the monument all over downtown...
