Taken on a short photo-trip that I went on with two other photographers.

I used myself as a model.. with the camera on self-timer, the timing is a huge issue of course...
I mentioned it as a joke to the other photographers, that were with me there, that I should bring an athlete with me, this jumping around is killing me!
I'm in a pain for 1-2 days after a jumping session like this, I have bad knees and back after a bad car accident (not my fault) in 2004 and my doctors would probably not approve me doing this...but I call it "a sacrifice for art" :-P
But for real, these jumping images I've taken after the accident, images of me jumping, mean much more to me than before the accident. I know I will be in pain but most often it is worth it (I hope). After each jumping session I tell my self that I should quit doing this, but I know the jumps will not end, it's some kind of freedom for me and and therefor it has become a sort of an addiction.

I printed this image (A lift off) on canvas, 43”x45” and put it up in an exhibition held in the artroom of the city hall of Reykjavik (Iceland's capital) in the spring of 2007. It was chosen as the most interesting image on the exhibition by the guests in a poll that went on during the exhibition, of course I'm proud of that.
We were near 30 people that had our works put up there, over 100 images. This was the only image that I had in this exhibition.

I like this one a little bit more than the other (Run !) I put here in my portfolio taken few jumps earlier...

Thanks for your comment!
No, I think the jet trail adds to the image and the title.
