a bit small and distracting that the JB was cut off at the top. I like the setup and whatn't but with a bit of even lighting and stronger comp I think this image could have been really great.

Overall not a bad photo, just too small to do it justice. Take a look at the excellent tutorial on preparing photos for contests in the learning section here on DPC. That helped me a lot! I can't get to detailed in my critique because I can't see the details in the image... Keep trying and working on your photography though, don't get discouraged. There is a lot to learn here on this web site and some great people to learn it from!

Try to make your image larger so we can see more.

Jim Beam? Irish?

image is a little small

The photo is too small, which doesn't allow for much critique (positive or negative). The green cloth that the bottles are on seems inappropriate, and the Jim Bean bottle is suffering from being cut off on the top. The composition lacks any interesting components. The colors seem ok, and the clarity looks ok.

idea is good, but the picture is too small to enjoy the deatils

interesting approach to medicine. :) too small and blurry, just like after having some of your medicine :)

I like the idea behind this photo, but it would be much more effective if it was larger.

What's with the small size. Very blurry in the backround (I like that.) but the overall picture, no.

too simple in my eyes, maybe set them up closer to that wall to gain some shadow

Too small - The composition is not very attractive.

Not just for Irish but its a global thing though...

It's very small - too bad.

hee hee hee - but wait, no Jamesons???!!!

I think a vertical would have been better, and a little closer to your subjects. Maybe put them closer together and try a vertical crop.

I hear ya, Brookied!
03/07/2007 12:58:23 PM
why so small?
03/07/2007 11:46:41 AM
Yup......lots of people use THIS "alternative" and whether it cures or not doesn't matter because it makes you quit caring what's wrong with you! *smile* Too bad that this shot wasn't larger! Unfortunately, I think that when people are voting and going from one shot to the next, seeing this small a shot will not have a pleasing effect. Once you've seen "big"...."small" somehow gets the attention taken away from it. It's a good shot....why leave it so small???

Hey, watch those ethnic slurs.... hehe, (hick)
03/07/2007 12:24:17 AM
I like the idea but..... the image is too small, it could be much clearer and the we could get into the actual set up and cropping.

keep working at it.

too small to really appreciate. don't know why you cut off the top of one of the bottles. funny.
