 I wasn't planning on entering this challenge but since few are I figure I would give it a go. Besides I had everything I needed for this one unlike my ideas for the Red challenge. I also noticed that my two blue ribbons were won in challenges starting with the letter "A" and overall in five challenges starting with that letter I'm averaging a 6.64 so I figure I may get lucky. :P

Setup was pretty easy. I used a shiny reflective poster board for the background, which was lit by a desk lamp placed pretty close to it. The subject is lit on both sides with one diffused worklight on the right and bounced flash on the left.

The label was created in photoshop. I should have taken more time making it realistic but this was sufficient.

Post Process:

Not much done here for me anyway. Just some tone mapping and shadow/highlights to bring out more detail and curves to tweak contrast and color tone. Resized for web and ran through several passes of Noise Ninja.

This is a lovely shot. I especially love the overall blue tone to it. Who would have thought that a bottle of pills/stones could look so beautiful? :)

I really like the coloring and sentiment behind this image. Off topic comment: I especially enjoy how on the label it says "Do not swallow." Anyway. Nicely composed image.

The monotone in blue works really well for this shot. Gives a cold, metallic feeling to this "medicine".
