The image is a stack of 23 sub-exposures (5x5s + 5x10s + 2x21s + 2x25s + 4x42s + 4x62s + 1x149s) with a total exposure time 12.2 minutes. This is done not only in order to reduce noise but also to maintain as much details in the core and nebulosity at the surrounding area as possible.
My first deep-sky photo with Canon 300D moddified with Baader filter which is much more sensitive at the red section of the spectrum. All 23 images were taken with Celestron ED80R f/7.5 piggy-back mounted at Celestron C8 SCT which I used for the manual guiding of the 62secs and 149 secs exposures.
