 The picture offers no real sense of scale, the base of this tree is massive compared to others in the area, prob close to 5 feet across at the base.

I was going to enter this one in the tree challenge but I had inadvertently rotated the original in windows file explorer and there was a branch in the upper left of the frame from another tree that would have most likely gotten me tared and feathered by the bag heads :P

I like the color in the sky here, but I wonder if there's a bit too much of it to really give the focus to the tree. A tighter crop both vertically and horizontally might have brought the tree more forward as the subject. What lens did you use to shoot this? Just wondering if getting closer with a wide angle might also have achieved more of what you were looking for here! I posted my "tree" non-entry here today, too!
