i know this looks a bit cheesy and this is definitely not my best shot for this month, will probably do quite badly in this challange. but, i loved this guy and loved how children around reacted to him.. i like this photo a lot documenting that moment.

Just to add ... you couldn't get this shot again if you parked your butt there for 10 years probably ... that alone makes it pretty damn special ... but the exposure is perfect too on top of it all!

This is outstanding! The manatee(?) looks like something straight out of the movie "Men in Black". Great composition and light here. It's great that we can not only see the manatee, but also the children's reaction to him. The light on the boy's face is wonderful. It would have been a shame if his face had been in shadow!
I'm afraid that you're going to have to adjust your perception of your own work after this shot. This is not cheesy, it's unbelievably magical, and going into my favorites.
I don't see what you think is cheesy about this photo at all. I like the little story that's going on with how the children are so fascinated with him, yet he seems more concerned with you. He's definitely telling you something with that body language...now to figure out what.
This image really stood out to me during the voting and it was among my highest scorers. Excellent exposure and composition. You seem to be on a roll, Sevil. Keep up the good work!
I don't find it cheesy at all - it's positively delightful! You definitely achieved your goal of documenting the moment, and it's a wonderful moment at that. Thanks for sharing this with us!
wow! (and surreal!) Fantastic job of being at the right place at the right time. I like the use of black and white as well - works really well for this image. Best of luck in the challenge!
