 These cobwebs were shimmering in the sun all across a field of snowdrops. I couldn't really capture their constantly moving shine, so i tried a few long shots for perspective compression (at 400mm) and bokeh (widest aperture) to get a few of the strands to stand out. It was basically a quick snapshot into the sun, with (intentional) lens flare reducing contrast dramatically. Pushing the contrast back in photoshop then gives dramatic warm colours.

Editing:
Contrast adjustment, crop, resize, slight selective sharpen (to avoid sharpening the bokeh elements and oversharpening the silk strands)

Great lighting and glistens on the silk. I think getting in closer would have made for a better composition though as the top half is rather dull compared to the bottom. Nice DOF as well

I can feel the warmth of the sun in this photograph. The spider web lines are the perfect addition to this spring day. Well done.

Simple and very pretty. I like the lines coming away from the flowers. Beautiful bokeh. I think if it were my shot, I'd get down so that I'm not looking down, but across the field, if that makes sense. Nothing like getting your belly all wet for a shot. ;~D 6
