This is the road I take to go home. I liked the sky and the lines. The story behind the circle is also interesting. A couple of years ago some "pranster" was placing large rocks in the road at night. As you can tell the hill is somewhat blind . What you can't see in this picture is that coming from the opposite direction there is a blind curve also. There were a number of close shaves and at least one accident. The county responded by placing a spotlight next to the road that comes on at sunset. Note to self, I need to get a night shot here.

That forest looks haunting. Good dusk shot.

We also have a few area in my state that are like this. One, Avon Mountain, had a huge accident there last year and around 4 people were killed. They have yet to do anything to change the area.
As to your shot, It is a hard one to compose because you tried with the leading line of the road, plus you wanted to have the beauty of the sky behind it. My eye seems most drawn to the light color of the dirt edge along the left. The left side is definitely the better looking one. Maybe a bit of a different angle might bring out the heart of this picture.

Ummm. . .that goes beyond "prankster". . .that's just a downright evil streak considering the obvious danger of that blind hill.

But it sure makes a nice photo. Be sure to show us the night photo when you get out there!

Seems like a waste of money to me. I hope at the very least it is solar-powered. Now you can see the large rock before you hit it. I would call it an isolated situation, not unless it is one those places that just screams "Put a large rock in the road".

The clouds are really nice.
