 I must thank my wonderful friend Dominique for setting up my first studio portrait shoot with her absolutely beautiful daughter Claire who is such a natural in front of a camera. I kept her busy for 2 hours and shot non-stop. She is a wonderful model and a pleasure to work with.

IMG_0127 I used Photoshop to edit this pic. The Eyes and teeth were whitened slightly. The Eyes were sharpened using unsharp mask technique. I softened the dimple on her chin by cloning at an opacity of 25%. I used a skin softening technique by adding 2 layers, then using gausian blur - 20% darken, 30% lighten and lowering the opacity to 40% on each. Gausian blur applied to the background at 9 pixels at 40% opacity. Slightly increased the contrast to highlight her hair. I then applied a blurred lighting vignette at 10% opacity with a 98.8 pixel gausian blur.

Beautiful shot, but maybe a little too much with the dodging on the eyes and teeth! I've fallen into this trap many times! Just need to cut it back a little!

Very nice shallow DOF. Really like the vignetting around your shot. Eyes really jump out at you! I think I am really starting to like red heads. :P Nice work.

its a nice portrait but her eyes and teeth are unnaturally white, skin looks too soft.

Nice lighting and great pose/composition. Just find the PP a little too much which makes the model look a little plastic.

The smoothing of the face seems a bit extreme it looks a little unnatural, the colors work really well here though and I like the background of the wicker

She's lovely. I think she's way too close to the wicker/woven background. Seems a touch overdone with either softness or maybe neat image. I love her smile and eyes. Great hair. I'd prefer she not be so dead centered. Maybe more neg. space to one side.
